The Principals
Steven L. Kirby, the
President of Edward R. Kirby & Associates, is a graduate
of Loyola University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and
received a Masters Degree in Detection of Deception from Reid College in
1979. He has been a licensed investigator in Illinois since 1975. He has also
been a licensed polygraph examiner in Illinois since 1976. Mr. Kirby has
conducted literally thousands of successful investigations throughout the
nation. Mr. Kirby has also conducted over three thousand polygraph
examinations on virtually every type of criminal activity, including murder,
rape, theft, drug trafficking, burglary, and other violent and property crimes.
Mr. Kirby is Past President of the Special Agents Association; a Past President
of the Council of International Investigators; past Director of the Illinois
Polygraph Society; member of the American Polygraph Society (formerly a
member of the nationwide Grievance Committee); former Director of the Oak
Park Chamber of Commerce; and former Commissioner (1984-1990) of the
City of Elmhurst Board of Fire and Police Commission.
James R. Kirby, Vice President, is a
graduate of Elmhurst College (1985).
He has been with Edward R. Kirby & Associates since his graduation, and
earned his Illinois Detective License in 1987. He has also been licensed as
a polygraph examiner since 1986. Mr. Kirby is experienced in the detection
of illegal electronic devices (de-bugging). He is a member of the Special
Agents Association, the American Society of Industrial Security, the American
Polygraph Association, and the California Association of Licensed Investigators.
