The Firm

Edward R. Kirby & Associates was established in 1969 as an investigative
service for business, industry and the legal profession. The firm was founded
by Edward R. Kirby (1919-1991), following a successful career in government
and corporate investigation. The company is currently managed by
Steven L. Kirby, President, who has been with the company since its inception,
and James R. Kirby, who was elected Vice President in 1987.

Although the company was established as a general practice, and has conducted
virtually all types of civil and criminal inquiries over the past twenty-nine years,
a number of specialty areas of practice have evolved. Those areas include
investigations into corporate (white collar) fraud; pretrial matters; labor law
violations; individual backgrounds; intellectual property and counterfeit product
matters; theft and drug abuse in the work place; interviews and interrogations;
insurance and workmen's compensation claims; electronic countermeasures
(de-bugging); and polygraph. In addition, the firm has provided expert testimony
on investigative and security matters.

The firm has a staff of diverse, talented investigators from a variety of law
enforcement backgrounds, which allows the company a latitude in assigning
the best qualified person to each case. All of the associates are charged with the
Kirby Mission, and all are cognizant of their responsibilities to each case and each
client. Each associate is registered with the State, following an extensive
background investigation. Each associate receives continuing training and
education. Finally, every case handled by an associate is regularly reviewed and
supervised by Steven or James Kirby.

In addition to its local staff, Edward R. Kirby & Associates maintains a worldwide
network of associate investigators. This network allows for prompt, confident
referral of work when it is not feasible to be handled directly by this office.
